Two simple assessments will enable you to achieve your fitness and weight goals as efficiently as possible. Using state of the art equipment you will learn how your own body responds uniquely to exercise and will have a photographic view of at what intensity your body burns fat and when it stops burning any at all.

Based on your results and goals you will be given a 4 to 12 week bespoke training programme that will train your body to become more efficient at burning fat, even at rest! And improve your aerobic fitness and your athletic performance.

Your brain function makes up the lion share of your daily metabolic rate and uses exclusively calories from your limited stores of carbs (sugar) in the body. By training your body to utilise fat calories when exercising and at rest, not depleting your carb stores you can see a dramatic increase in your energy levels and also reduce your cravings for sweet and sugary things making it much easier to make healthier diet choices.

RESTING ASSESSMENT:

A simple, ten minute assessment where you are seated comfortably will work out exactly how many calories you should be consuming daily to achieve your weight goals safely and sustainably, avoiding yo-yo-ing. The results will also show you what percentage of fat versus glucose calories you are currently utilising. You will be given a neoprene facemask that is attached to an analyser that will monitor your gas exchange when breathing, giving you your own accurate, individual readings not based on guess work or averages.

EXERCISE ASSESSMENT:

For safety and optimum results predominantly carried out on a stationary bike to a sub maximal intensity for approximately 10-15 minutes. Monitoring your heart rate (HR) you will be asked to gently increase your speed and the resistance. At each HR you will see how many calories per minute you are burning and where those calories are coming from fat or carbs. On completion you will have your own unique training zones to achieve your goals and know exactly how many calories you should be consuming to re-fuel after exercise.
